Teen Scene & The "Edge"
Teen Scene
(Rising 6th-8th grades)
Our teens are on the move! Triple C Camp recognizes that older campers want special activities and recognition as they grow and mature. Our Teen Scene program presents opportunities for campers to enjoy a variety of challenging activities in and out of camp. Fabulous Field Trips are a very important part of the Teen Scene Program. The Teen Scene week includes two day trips out of camp, two days enjoying traditional camp activities and one morning of community service with an afternoon at a local park or pool. The community service day could find campers reading to children at a local Day Care Center, sorting food donations at the food bank, or making an impact by volunteering at other area locations. Day trips could include hiking and swimming at local lakes, adventuring to Grand Caverns, canoeing and fishing at Walnut Creek, golf and tennis at Pen Park, tubing the James River and much, much more.
"The Edge" Leadership Training Program
(Rising 9th-10th grades)
This transitional program provides the opportunity to learn leadership and fundamental skills used in all aspects of life. Campers will gain a better understanding of working within a group and the operation of a camp as a business and program. Campers may participate in CPR and First Aid, experience our own team ropes challenge course, create intra-camp programming and go on out-of-camp trips planned by the group members. Upon successful completion of the Leadership Training program, campers will have the opportunity to apply for a position at Triple C Camp!
