GOOD
MORNING We traveled throughout camp in unique and creative ways as we entered our week of Planes, Trains, and Automobiles! Paper Airplane making, plane-flying contests, train construction and a special Racing visitor as part of All Camp on Friday, kept our campers in constant motion throughout the week. We'd like to say a special THANK YOU to Lanny Moore, Jr., for sharing his time and racecar with all of our campers. The kids loved climbing in, trying on and using their imaginations to momentarily become speed demons! What FUN! Theme weeks for 2003: |

The Pioneers had an amazing week when Triple C Camp celebrated the pillars of modern transportation: PLANES, TRAINS, & AUTOMOBILES! They kept busy by playing Bumper Car Tag, Space Ball, and Capture the Flag. They also made Paper Airplanes, Fruit Loop Necklaces, and they Painted Rocks. The Pioneers also had the opportunity to meet with our very talented specialists. LORI, our PONY SPECIALIST, led the Pioneers on our many horses, while HANK our ROPES COURSE SPECIALIST played Harry Potter Tag with them. In addition, the feisty Pioneers also showed off their architectural prowess while building Forts. The Pioneers sure know how to keep busy, and they can't wait till next week when Triple C celebrates our world's NATURAL WONDERS.
Trailblazers
Rock! The Trailblazers certainly know how to have a good time, and this week at Triple C Camp was no exception. The Trailblazers had an awesome time as our theme was PLANES, TRAINS, & AUTOMOBILES. Their counselors had lots of fabulous activities planned for them including making Paper Airplanes, playing Capture the Friend, and moving and shaking for Freeze Dance Limbo. They also got to participate in TRAILBLAZER CHOICE, when these vivacious vanguards got to choose how they wanted to play. In DIONNE'S ARTS & CRAFTS group they made Cars, Planes, and Trains from Foam Prints. With ADAM, our SPORTS & GAMES SPECIALIST, they played some Basketball. They also got to go SWIM at the POOL with DONNA, JEN, and ROLO. The Trailblazers have really had a great week, and they are greatly looking forward to next week when Triple C Camp honors Mother Nature with out theme NATURAL WONDERS.

Teen
Scene on Tour
The Teen Scene sure knew how to celebrate PLANES, TRAINS, & AUTOMOBILES while they rode the traveling Triple C Camp tour bus. In camp on Monday and Friday the campers got a chance to choose from many activities. They included taking a dip in the POOL to cool off, participating on our CHALLENGE COURSE with HANK, hiking the Kinser's Climb, going TRAIL RIDING, playing Ultimate Frisbee, Shooting Hoops, and working on some ARTS & CRAFTS. On Tuesday, their fearless counselor ERIK drove them in the Triple C Bus to the movies to see Scooby Doo and then went to Sugar Hollow for a fun day in the sun. On Wednesday they gave their time to the community by volunteering at McIntire Recycling Center and Parks and Rec, and then went to cool off at Chris Greene Lake. On Thursday they had an awesome day hanging out at Ridgeview Park Pool and Skate Town. What a week! The Teen Scene campers can't wait till next week when Triple C Camp celebrates our wonderful world with our theme NATURAL WONDERS. "THE
EDGE"
"The EDGE" campers had a fabulous week as we celebrated PLANES, TRAINS, & AUTOMOBILES. We headed to the pool to perfect our strokes and swimming abilities. We learned elementary backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and diving skills. The campers were also introduced to the fundamental skills needed to become a lifeguard. Once we had perfected our swimming skills, we moved our focus to learning to teach swimming lessons. Wednesday for TRAILBLAZER CHOICE ACTIVITY TIME, "The EDGE" campers CARTER, TOM, and JESSIE led a phenomenal Scavenger Hunt all around camp. SAM, MAUREEN, and LUCAS led Nuke 'Em, Space Ball, Volleyball, and Celebrity Head. We took plenty of time off to relax, and we headed out to the challenge course with HANK to try our hand at the TP SHUFFLE and the MOHAWK WALK. Friday we took a fabulous fieldtrip planned by the group. We headed to Carter's Mountain Orchard to pick peaches. When we finished picking peaches we had a pot-luck lunch, followed by a tour of the Bailey Art Museum, and we finished out the day with ice cream from Arch's. We're looking forward to the interest and intrigue of next week's theme NATURAL WONDERS. |
