GOOD MORNING
TRIPLE C!

Have you heard about the great summer theme weeks planned for this year? Check this out…

This week was Summer Safari. Campers this week had quite an adventure when Triple C Camp transformed into a Summer Safari. Groups learned about animals and plants found in exotic places, like the African Sahara and the Amazonian Rainforest. Campers had a special treat at All Camp on Friday, when we welcomed DARRELL ROSE, a talented African Drummer. MR ROSE showed campers many types of African Instruments and campers even had the chance to sample a few.

Campers really had quite a week, and they can't wait till next week when our theme is PLANES, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES!

Pioneer Power

The Pioneers had an incredible week at Triple C, when the campgrounds were transformed into a Summer Safari! The Pioneers had an opportunity to meet with all of our fabulous specialists, and they participated in lots of involved activities. In DIONNE'S ARTS & CRAFTS groups they made Animal Masks. There were lots of Bunnies, Zebras, and other fantastic creatures running around Camp. With HANK, our CHALLENGE COURSE SPECIALIST, the Pioneers got to play Star Wars, a game to help develop their team-building skills. The forging Pioneers also got to show off their aquatic skills in the POOL with DONNA, BECCA, and MAGGIE. Lessons and recreational swim were fun for all! The Pioneers had quite an expedition this week, and they can't wait till next week when Triple C Camp's theme is PLANES, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES.

Got to Explore...

The Explorers had quite a week, as Triple C Camp became a Summer Safari. In ART & DRAMA with LESLIE and EMILY, our campers got to do Tribal Face Painting, go on an Animal Scavenger Hunt, and made Animal Masks. In SPORTS & GAMES, our campers got to play Cricket, Floor Hockey, Hand Ball, Frisbee Fetch, and Kickball. They also got to swim everyday, went on Salamander Hunts, and run an Obstacle Course. Our GREAT OUTDOORS campers also had a spectacular week. They hiked our infamous Kinser's Climb, made Safari Hats, played an Animal Noise match-up game, and went to the Archery range to work on their aim. This week also took them to Walnut Creek, for a day of Cooking Out, Canoeing, and fun in the sun. COLT CAMP also had a busy, productive week. The beginners learned about horse safety, mounting and dismounting safely, and sitting in the saddle correctly. The intermediate group worked on trotting and balancing correctly, while the advanced group worked on tacking, and cantering! The Colt Campers really learned a lot this week and they can't wait for next week when our theme is PLANES, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES.

"THE EDGE"

"The EDGE" campers had an amazing week of games! We set our sights high this week as we improved our skills explaining activities, keeping all campers involved, and worked to form relationships with new groups of campers. We played Space Ball, Catch Volleyball, Nuke 'Em and Silent Speedball. We also learned Flamingo Tag, Everyone's It Tag, Tunnel Tag, and Tee-Pee Tag. Wednesday Trailblazer Choice Activity Time was full of fun and excitement. CARTER led a bubblegum scavenger hunt, and SAM led making paper. TOM led predator and prey, camouflage, and invisible ball. We finished out Wednesday by doing the Multi-Vine on the ROPES COURSE with HANK. Friday "The EDGE" campers took a lead with the All Camp Activities. We're all keyed up for next week's PLANES, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES!
