2003

GOOD MORNING
TRIPLE C!

Can you believe it? THE SUMMER OF 2003 IS NOW IN THE RECORD BOOKS! It was a great one. As we finished strong this week we enjoyed Making Waves everywhere we went... water waves that is! From splishing, to splashing, to cannonball contests at the pool… everyone had a great week.

A special thank you to Mr. Tom S. at ARBY'S in Ruckersville and Forest Lakes. He allowed us to try out the new firehouse slide. It is 23 feet tall and 35 feet long. Our campers enjoyed the climb, the slide and the bounces at the end. Thanks again, Mr S.

Have a great school year! Keep your eyes open while you are around town… you will see lots of camp friends and staff all year long. Email us and let us know about all the cool things happening in your world!

Theme weeks for 2003:

Pioneer Power

Our rising Kindergarten and First Graders were really MAKING WAVES this week at Triple C Camp. They played lots of fanciful fun games like Freeze Dance, Hot Potato, Drip, Drip, Splash, and Electricity! They also created lots of beautiful projects like original Sand Art, sturdy Stick Houses, and crafty Picture Frames. The Pioneers also got to meet with our talented specialists. They improved their Stroke and Turn in swim lessons with DONNA, MAGGIE, AND JEN at the POOL, played T-BALL with our SPORTS SPECIALIST ADAM, and performed CHAMELEON OCTOPUS TAG with ASHLEY our DRAMA SPECIALIST. The Pioneers had an amazing week; it was the perfect way to wrap up the summer. They are looking forward to meeting their new teachers at school, but they'll leave Triple C Camp with memories of EXCEPTIONAL FRIENDS AND CARING COUNSELORS. It'll be a real treat though to think of all the fun we'll have NEXT SUMMER!

Trailblazers Rock!

AREN'T THEY CUTIE PIES?

What a week the Trailblazers had, as they were MAKING WAVES! Not only did they get to show off their aquatic skills at the POOL and their equestrian skills by the BARN, but they got to spend their last week of the summer at Triple C Camp with CLOSE FRIENDS AND CONSIDERATE COUNSELORS. The campers got to create exciting Tie Dye t-shirts, colorful Friendship Bracelets, and a beautiful Beach Scene Mural. In Trailblazer Choice this week they got to choose between all of the wonderful activities planned by our exceptional specialists. These included ZOO FEEDING with MARION our ANIMAL SPECIALIST, WARM FUZZIES with DIONNE our ARTS & CRAFTS SPECIALIST, or CLIMBING THE WALL with HANK our CHALLENGE COURSE SPECIALIST. Decisions, decisions! The Trailblazers are sad to see the summer end, but they know the FUN AND FRIENDS continue next summer. In the meantime, they'll be hitting the books! THANKS FOR AN AWESOME SUMMER!

Got to Explore...

DEQUAN HAS GROWN GILLS

Our rising 4th-6th graders have spent this summer EXPLORING all of the options available to them here at Triple C Camp. Into the Visual and Performing Arts? Well then, they were off to ART & DRAMA. Striving to be the next Shaq, Venus or Serena, or Tiger Woods? Perhaps SPORTS & GAMES was the place to be. Or how about our Nature Lovers, thankful for everything Mother Earth has to offer? Then the answer was GREAT OUTDOORS. And let's not forget those inclined to getting muddy at the Barn and trotting around with the Equines. COLT CAMP was definitely the place to be. Though the summer is winding its way down, the Explorers are sure happy to have had the experiences they did. They can't wait till next summer when they might have even more options to EXPLORE! And look out Teen Scene, HERE WE COME! BON VOYAGE!

Teen Scene on Tour

SORT OF SYNCRONIZED SWIMMING

"We were like 'Woah!' and you were like 'Woah!' and I was like 'Woah.'" The Teen Sceners had an amazing week on their Triple C Tourbus. On Tuesday they spent the day at Shenandoah Acres, on Wednesday they gave their time to the community, and on Thursday they cooled off at Ridgeview Park Pool and then rolled their way to Skate Town. At camp they got to choose between DRAMA with ASHLEY, ARTS & CRAFTS with DIONNE, or POOL time with DONNA, MAGGIE, AND JEN. The Teen Scene has had an astounding summer touring the sites and sounds of Charlottesville. They are distressed it's coming to an end and they have to head back to school, but they can't wait for what their counselors have planned for them next summer with the traveling Triple C Tourbus!
