GOOD MORNING TRIPLE C!!!!
The Red, White and Blue flew proudly at camp this week. We celebrated in true camp fashion with flag scavenger hunts, patriot pops, face painting, and great arts & crafts, such as making Liberty's crowns and torches, Penny Pendants and red white and blue beads.
Monday campers got a chance to visit with the Ferrets and MILDRED, shoot Archery with ADAM, cool off in the pools, visit the Swinging Balance Beam on the Challenge Course with KATY MAC, and make leaf rubbings at Nature with HEATHER. And that was just in the morning! Whew! The afternoon was full of more and different exciting choices as well.
We had an amazing holiday celebration and look forward to next week...

KATY and the PIONEER BOYS challenge themselves with a team building project |
It was GRAND OLE FLAG week here at TRIPLE C, and the PIONEERS celebrated by showing their patriotism, camp style! Team activities, nature hikes, and lots of learning were a few of the many experiences that the PIONEERS had. Some of our little ones got crafty, making their own fireworks out of paper towel tubes and creating their own flags. Others played soccer, visited the petting zoo, got physical with Queenball, built forts, and stayed cool in the pool. The PIONEERS will be "Stayin' Alive" and becoming Dancing Queens (or Fiends!)? as they sache into next week's DISCO MANIA, where more fun and excitement await!

| LAUREN instructs the COLT CAMPERS |
The week of GRAND OLE' FLAG brought great excitement for our EXPLORERS. The COLT CAMPERS learned the art of falling off the horse safely right onto camp mats. Everyone enjoyed lots of time on their favorite horse, as well as riding in the Mini?s Carts. The GREAT OUTDOORS campers had a chance to set up a new Teepee just beyond the main fire circle. They raked, and cleared the area and set it up along with their Counselors. GREAT job done by the GREAT OUTDOORS Campers! In SPORTS & GAMES, the campers really "broke" into the new Lacrosse equipment and had a blast learning how to handle the sticks. S & G campers were also seen having scavenger hunts, playing team hand ball and participating in the All-Camp Flag Find. The ART & DRAMA campers gave several patriotic song presentations at round-up and also made friendship bracelets and fabulous Grand Ole' Flags to finish out the week. All of our EXPLORERS are looking forward to next week when we will be have a special camp event with the Piedmont Family YMCA of Charlottesville. We're all looking forward to next week as we celebrate DISCO MANIA!
